Personal Belongings - Part 1

There were so many decisions we needed to make in a very short time, One of the things we had to decide was whether to ship our stuff here, and if so - what and how much?

Most of our furniture and personal things we sold or gave away (and some it was time to throw away). But there were some things I could not part with and some we decided to deal with later. 

So now both parents have some of our stuff ... Thanks guys.

We decided we would only bring 2 suitcases each...pretty limited for me and it was real tough trying to keep them at 50 lbs! I have to admit deciding what to do with our stuff was one of the most difficult, I cried a few times trying to weed out and pack up. 

I have heard it said, “People often consider moving to another country, but are rarely able to foresee what their decision truly entails.”

So is it more cost effective to move your items or replace them?  It’s not just price but quality (i.e. shopping at Walmart and paying Macy’s prices), and availability (i.e I still have yet to find cookie racks and no crockpots). 

So in October we sent for some of our stuff.
And we are still waiting...
