Good Bye 2016

<<<Looking back on 2016>>>

I am amazed and thankful that I am still living
(this life that God has purposed for me:)

Joshua 23:14

God has promised us all new hearts.
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
"Ezekiel 36:26

God has promised all forgiveness.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9
"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."
Psalm 103:12

We have been promised eternal life.
"And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.
1 John 2:25

God has promised peace.
"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."
Isaiah 26:3

Wisdom is one of God's promises.
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
James 1:5

We are promised the Holy Spirit.
"...how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
Luke 11:13
"...When he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come."
 John 16:13

God Promises to Supply All Our Needs.
"For Jehovah God is our Light and our Protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk along his paths."
Psalm 84:11
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19

Jeremiah 29:11

Okay,
I'll stop here -
Now, if you type into google, "How many promises are there in the Bible?" the answers range anywhere from 1000 to over 7000...
I'm not counting,  nor did I look at any of the supporting info. But having been a Christian for over 32 years now, and having read my Bible daily (well most days:)
There are really far too many promises to list -
too many yet to come,
both personal and for all that call on the name of Jesus!
you need to read them - claim them as yours !
Make a promise to yourself to read the Bible daily in 2017

Fun Facts: I did check out this blog on Bible facts and stats @ amazingbibletimeline.com (written in 4.2013), it quotes some fun Bible facts; 'did you know you can read the whole KJV Bible aloud in 70 hours? or that Galatians 1:14 contains all the letters of the alphabet except the letter k? and the longest name is Mahershalalhashbaz.' (I'll leave you to look up in what book:)
